Down the valley we go
At 7-2, the Bulldogs have clinched bowl eligibility but not their goal eligibility.
With back-to-back 20-point-or-plus losses, we're left not exactly knowing who these Bulldogs are. That easy schedule now looks even easier. And these tough ones, even tougher. And if the Bulldogs want to be taken seriously, they're gonna have to take down at least one of these top-ranked SEC West teams.
And that last, tough chance is with LSU. In Tiger Stadium. Aka Death Valley.
After their last-minute loss to top-ranked Bama.
This might be as tough as it gets and LSU has never been known to be the polite type (as least not as mannered as you, Vanderbilt). And that defense is particularly tough, allowing only 15 points a game.
So when Saturday night (6 p.m) rolls around, and you're frantically searching for the right channel (ESPN), expect a low-scoring game where the defenses are the only ones to put TDs on the board.
And if one of those can be another pick-6 by MSU CB Johnthan Banks, then maybe, just maybe, State can beat HellSU.
